Applications of paraffin wax:
1. Chemical products can be produced, such as chlorinated paraffins, pesticide emulsifiers, fertilizer additives, etc.;
2. It can be used in liquid mosquito coils. Refined paraffin oil is slightly toxic and can repel mosquitoes;
3. It has good oil-soluble properties and is used as base oil for electrical discharge machining oil, special anti-rust oil, and metal processing base oil;
4. Used in aluminum rolling fluid, handicraft oil, and metal cleaning agent;
5. Used in plastic rubber solvents, textile auxiliary base oils, printing and dyeing ink solvents, and dewaxing solvents;
6. Some hot pot bases, oils, instant vermicelli and some inferior barreled instant noodles (bucket walls) contain such substances. Industrial paraffin can even be found in some instant chopsticks and paper cups;
7. At present, various wax papers with good waterproof properties are produced by immersing paper in paraffin, which can be used in packaging, metal anti-rust and printing industries;
8. Adding polyolefin to liquid paraffin will increase the melting point, increase flexibility and adhesion, and can be used for moisture-proof, waterproof and other surface coatings and the production of candles;
9. After paraffin is incorporated into cotton yarn, it can make the textile soft, smooth and elastic;
10. Paraffin wax can also be used to make detergents, dispersants, plasticizers, lubricants, etc., and can also be used to make fiberboards and matches.
