Audited Supplier Petrolatum is a semi-liquid mixture of alkanes or saturated hydrocarbons, also known as petroleum jelly, produced by the fractionation of petroleum. Its state at room temperature between solid and liquid, due to different uses and brown, yellow, white three colors. White petrolatum is white Vaseline.
Main ingredients
It is a mixture of G18-C32 alkanes and semi-olefin. It is a microcrystalline wax containing oil, containing a very small amount of paraffin, the oil is divided into colloidal dispersion, and is absorbed by amorphous crystals, forming a viscous colloidal semisolid.
Method of production:
The refining method is mainly used. With high viscosity fraction of petroleum as raw material, dewaxing is carried out first, then mixed with medium viscosity lubricating oil, and then added fumigant sulfuric acid and active clay deodorization, decolorization. It can also be further refined by hydrogenation. Commercial petrolatum is usually a mixture of petrolatum and white oil, which are mixed to the desired melting point in an appropriate proportion.

Mineral oils and fats. Widely used as hair wax, hair lotion, cold cream, moisturizer, anti-crack cream, emulsion, lip balm and other cosmetics matrix raw materials.
