Specification

  Die thanolamine (DEA) is a polyfunctional product that is a secondary amine and a diol and acts as a weak base. Die thanolamine buffer (10 mM die thanolamine, 0.5 mM MgCl2, pH 9.5) is frequently used in colorimetric assays (ELISA) using p-nitrophenyl phosphate (PNPP, sc-3720) substrate and die thanolamine buffer. DEA (5% die thanolamine, pH 11.5) may also be useful for the dissociation of antigen-antibody complexes. For surface staining of monoclonal antibody-alkaline phosphatase conjugates by flow cytometric analysis, die thanolamine buffer (pH 9.6) has been used with BCIP/NBT (sc-24981) substrate. Also used as an absorbent for acid gases and as a chemical intermediate.

Application

1. Mainly used as CO2, H2S and SO2 acid gas absorbent, non-ionic surfactant, emulsifier, polishing agent, industrial gas cleaning agent, lubricant. Iminodiethanol, also known as die thanolamine, is an intermediate of the herbicide glyphosate. Used as a gas purification agent, also used as synthetic drugs and organic synthesis raw materials.

2. Mor pholine and die thanolamine are intermediates in organic synthesis, for example, they can be used in the production of some optical bleach in the textile industry, the fatty acid salts of mor pholine can be used as a preservative, mor pholine can also be used in the production of the central depressant forcotin or as a solvent. Die thanolamine is used in analytical chemistry as a reagent and gas chromatographic stationary solution to selectively retain and separate alcohols, diols, amines, py ridine, quino line, pipe razines, thiols, thioethers and water.

3. Die thanolamine is an important corrosion inhibitor, which can be used in boiler water treatment, automotive engine coolant, drilling and cutting oil, and other types of lubricating oils to inhibit corrosion. It is also used in natu ral gas as an absorbent to purify acidic gases. It is used as an emulsifier in various cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. In the textile industry as a lubricant, but also can be used as wetting agent and softener and other organic synthetic raw materials.

4. Used as acid absorbent, plasticizer, softener, emulsifier, etc. Also used as an absorbent of acid gas (such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, etc.) in petroleum gas, natu ral gas and other gases. It is the raw material of synthetic medicine, pesticide, dye intermediates and surfactants. Used as emulsifier for oils and waxes under acidic conditions, softener for leather and synthetic fibers. Used as thickener and foam improver in shampoo and light scale remover. Also used as detergent, lubricant, brightener and engine piston ash removal agent.
