Paraffin wax is used to make high fatty acids, high alcohols, matches, candles, waterproof agents, ointments, electrical insulation materials, etc. Paraffin is divided into food grade (food grade and packaging grade, the former is better) and industrial grade, food grade non-toxic, industrial grade not coarse paraffin because of more oil content, mainly used in the manufacture of matches, fiberboard, canvas, etc.Paraffin is a mixture of hydrocarbons extracted from certain distillates of petroleum, shale oil or other bituminous mineral oils. The main components are solid alkanes, odorless, tasteless, white or pale yellow translucent solids. Paraffin wax is amorphous but has a distinct crystal structure. Another artificial paraffin. It can also be used for oxidation to produce synthetic fatty acids.
