Semi-refined into a plate-like white solid. Its relative density increases with the increase of melting point. The product has good chemical stability, moderate oil content, good moisture-proof and insulating properties and good plasticity. The candle produced by semi-refined paraffin wax has concentrated flame, no smoke and no tears.

Fully refined paraffin wax, also known as refined white wax, has a white solid appearance, with blocky and granular products. Its product has high melting point, low oil content, no adhesion at room temperature, no sweating, no greasy feeling, good waterproof, moisture-proof and electrical insulation.

Paraffin wax, also known as crystalline wax, is through distillation after solvent refining, solvent dewaxing or by wax freezing crystallization, press dewaxing to make wax paste, and then by solvent deoil or sweat deoil, and supplement refined by flake or needle crystal. According to the different degree of refining, it can be divided into three kinds: full refined paraffin, semi-refined paraffin and crude paraffin. Fully refined paraffin and semi refined paraffin wax are widely used. They are mainly used for food, oral medicine and some products (such as wax paper, crayons, candles, carbon paper) components and packaging materials, coating materials for baking containers,  for fruit preservation, insulation of electrical components, improving rubber aging resistance and increasing flexibility, etc.It can also be used for oxidation to produce fatty acids. Crude paraffin with high oil content is mainly used for making matches, fiberboard, awning canvas, etc.
