1. Used as emulsifier, moisturizer, humidifier, thickener, PH balancer in cosmetics (including skin washing, eye gel, moisturizer, shampoo, etc.). In cosmetic formulation for neutralizing with fatty acids into soap, neutralizing with sulfated fatty acids into amine salts. Triethanolamine is a commonly used emulsifier in cream preparations. The cream products emulsified with triethanolamine have the characteristics of fine paste and bright white paste, and the colloid phase formed by triethanolamine and senior fatty acid or senior fatty alcohol has good stability, stable product quality and high proportion of external components. Triethanolamine (TRiethanolamine) is the most commonly used neutralizer for acidic polymer gels containing carbomer, and triethanolamine can form a stable polymer structure by neutralizing with carboxyl group of carbomer, so as to achieve the application effect of thickening and moisturizing.
2, add triethanolamine in liquid detergent, can improve oily dirt, especially the removal of non-polar sebum, at the same time, by improving the alkaline can improve the decontamination performance. And it has excellent compatibility.
3, used as curing agent of epoxy resin, reference dosage of 12-15 parts (mass fraction), curing conditions 80ºC/4h or 120ºC/2h. Can also be used for natural rubber, synthetic rubber vulcanization activator, nitrile rubber polymerization activator, can also be used as lubricating oil and anti-corrosion additives. The long-chain fatty acid salts of triethanolamine are almost neutral and can be used as emulsifiers for oils and waxes.
