It is a colorless, transparent and viscous liquid at room temperature, and has hygroscopicity and amm onia odor. With water, ethanol and actone miscible, slightly soluble in benzene, ether, carbon tetra chloride,and ethanol.   With sulfuric acid,  hydro chloric acid and other strong acid reaction. Reaction with inorganic acids and organic acids to produce esters; Flammable, in case of high temperature, open flame or contact with oxidants have the risk of combustion.

Application

Ethano lamine, alias: 2-amino ethanol, 2-hydroxyethylamine, monoethano lamine , at room temperature are colorless transparent viscous liquid, hygroscopicity and amm onia  odor. It is a very versatile chemical raw material and an important intermediate in organic synthesis. Can be used for surfactants, petroleum additives, organic synthetic raw materials, can also be used for pharmaceutical intermediates, but also for the production of ethylene amine series of raw materials.

The largest consumer domain of monoethano lamine  is surfactants. It can not only be directly used as surfactant, but also with a variety of acid synthesis of important common surfactants, such as alkanolamide, dodecyl benzene sulfonyl triethano lamine . The surfactant is mainly used in detergent, chemical industry and other fields. Ethano lamine  can be used as catalyst and crosslinker in polyurethane (coating) industry. This product is used in the pharmaceutical industry in the synthesis of fungicides, antidiarrheal agents: textile industry fluorescent whitening agent; Advanced dyes synthesized in dyeing industry; Neutralizing agent in rubber industry and ink industry; Also used for surfactants, rust inhibitors, cleaning agents, preservatives, paint manufacturing, organic synthetic raw materials and acid gas absorbers.
