Paraffin wax is a type of petroleum processing product, a type of mineral wax, and a type of petroleum wax. It is a flaky or needle-shaped crystal obtained from the lubricating oil fraction obtained by distillation of crude oil through solvent refining, solvent dewaxing or wax freeze crystallization, press dewaxing to obtain wax paste, and then solvent deoiling and refining.
Paraffin is a hydrocarbon mixture extracted from certain distillates of petroleum, shale oil or other asphalt mineral oils. The main component is solid alkanes. It is odorless and tasteless, and is a white or light yellow translucent solid. Paraffin wax is amorphous but has a distinct crystal structure.

The difference between semi-refined paraffin and fully refined paraffin

1. Different oil contents:
The oil content of semi-refined paraffin wax is less than 2.0%, and the oil content of fully refined paraffin wax is less than 0.8%.

2. Different characteristics:
1)Semi-refined paraffin wax is a plate-like white solid. Its relative density increases with the increase of melting point. The product has good chemical stability, moderate oil content, good moisture-proof and insulation properties, and good plasticity. Candles produced from semi-refined paraffin wax have a concentrated flame that is smokeless and does not shed tears.

2) Fully refined paraffin wax is also called refined white wax. It appears as a white solid and is available in lumpy and granular products. Its products have a higher melting point, less oil content, no sticking, no sweating, no greasy feeling at room temperature, and are waterproof, moisture-proof and electrically insulating.

3. Different degrees of refining:
Semi-refined paraffin wax is less refined than fully refined paraffin wax.

4. Different colors:
Highly refined paraffin wax is lighter in color, semi-refined paraffin wax is darker in color, and fully refined paraffin wax is lighter in color.

5. Different uses:
