Paraffin wax can be divided into three types: fully refined paraffin wax, semi-refined paraffin wax and crude paraffin wax according to different degrees of processing and refining. Among them, the former two are widely used, mainly used as components and packaging materials for food and other commodities (such as wax paper, crayons, candles, carbon paper), coating materials for baking containers, cosmetic raw materials, used for fruit preservation, and improving rubber resistance. It can also be used for oxidation to generate synthetic fatty acids in terms of aging resistance and increasing flexibility, insulation of electrical components, precision casting, etc.

Due to its high oil content, crude paraffin is mostly used in the manufacture of matches, fiberboards, canvas, etc. After polyolefin additives are added to paraffin wax, its melting point is increased, and its adhesion and flexibility are increased. It is widely used in moisture-proof and waterproof packaging paper, cardboard, surface coatings of certain textiles and candle production.



Semi Refined paraffin wax
The Semi refined paraffin wax has a white solid appearance with block or granular structures. It has high melting point and low oil contains. It also has features of no bonding, no sweating, no greasy feeling, waterproof, moisture-proof and electrical insulation under normal temperature. Due to the depth of refinement, the products are of low content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, good chemical stability and light stability, strong toughness, good plasticity, white color, no mechanical impurities and water, and no smell. Fully refined paraffin can be dissolved in: benzene, ether, turpentine, petroleum, and fixed oil.
